1683: The church board seeks contact with Dieterich Buxtehude for advice for a new organ. Buxtehude advices Arp Schnitger and as second Zacharias Teyßner. (02)

1695: Both were probably not disponible, so the organbuilder Matthias Schurich from  Radeberg by Dresden was asked. He just finished an organ in Frankfurt a/d Oder. At 14.10.1695 a contract was made up between the church and Matthias Schurich to build a new organ for 7.253 Rthl.  (02)

1697: Matthias Schurich dies in 1697 and until that time he could not finish the organ.
He finished mainly the frontpipes of the organ:

Afterwards long negotiations with the heirs of Schurich about paymant of the finished parts of the organ. (02)

1698: At 24.03.1698 there came a letter of Arp Schnitger that he could take over the completion of the organ. In july 1698 het came to Stettin and on 24.07 a contract was signed. Schnitger had checked the existing work and conluded that is was well done.
The work was carried out by Balthasar Held under supervision of Arp Schnitger. (02)

1698-1700: New organ by Arp Schnitger.
The specification of the organ was found in the textbook of the cantata by the organist Klingeberg "Eins bitte ich vom Herrn, Psalm XXVII".
This cantata was performed at 11. Januay 1700 by the inauguration of the organ.  (02)
